Financial markets are considered one of the important devices in the economy of contemporary countries because of the essential role they play in collecting savings and pumping money to finance constructive projects that contribute to the production of goods and services in society, and this leads to increased growth rates in the economy and achieving development in societies.
The fatwas and decisions of the jurisprudence councils have recognized the importance of the role of the financial markets, as it was stated in the decision of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, “Attention to the financial markets is a complete duty in preserving and developing money, given the cooperation it entails in meeting public needs and performing the religious and worldly rights in the money.”
The Certified Islamic Specialist Certificate in Financial Markets aims to qualify the expertise working in Islamic financial institutions to understand the nature and basics of investment in various financial markets, and to identify the techniques of the tools used and the practical applications of their products and to demonstrate their legal foundation, in addition to determining the extent to which a number of modern tools and products comply with the provisions of Islamic law, such as buying on margin, short selling, financial derivatives, etc.
The certificate also aims to focus on the Sharia controls for dealing with various types of stocks and methods of trading them, and to explain how to issue and manage Islamic sukuks, funds and investment portfolios. It is natural that this certificate will address the working system of these financial markets and the regulatory and supervisory regulations regarding them, and introduce the most important roles and tasks assigned to the companies and institutions operating in them, and explain the most important challenges they face and ways to protect them from manipulation and sham deals and turning them into a mere theater for tampering with the country’s wealth and an area for earning unlawful things. .
